  FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. How much WOOLITE® should I use for washing?
A. All washes are different, and WOOLITE® can be used for hand washing or machine washing. Please refer to the label on the back of your WOOLITE bottle for proper instructions.

Q: Can all WOOLITE® products be used in warm or hot water as well as cold water?
A: WOOLITE® is a detergent specially formulated to care for your clothes. You may use WOOLITE® in warm or hot water if the garment label indicates to do so.

Q: Can WOOLITE® for Dark Laundry be used on light colored laundry?
A: Yes, however, the product is specifically manufactured to care for dark clothing.

Q: Can WOOLITE® HE be used in a regular (non High-Efficiency) Washer?
A: Yes. WOOLITE® HE was formulated to work as well as WOOLITE non-HE, but designed specifically for high-efficiency washing machines which require low foaming detergents.

Q: Can WOOLITE® For All Fabrics / For All Darks / For All Colors be used in a HE machine? If so, how much do I use?
A: Because HE (high-efficiency) machines require a low-sudsing detergent; it is recommended that a HE detergent, such as WOOLITE® HE, is used in these machines. Excess foam can prevent proper tumbling action and therefore reduce cleaning. Also, the tumble action of front-loading, high-efficiency washers creates more suds than the agitator actions of traditional washers. Always follow the directions in the owner’s manual for your washing machine.

Q: What does colorfastness mean?
A: Colorfastness is a term used to describe a dyed fabric’s ability to resist fading and color running due to washing, exposure to sunlight and other environmental conditions. Colorfastness is measured in terms of resistance to changes in intensity and hue, and to resistance to color transfer from contact with dry cleaning solvents and water. A fabric should also resist the color changes that can be caused by mild acid and alkaline agents.
Fabrics should be colorfast to the care label recommendation sewn inside the garment, whether it states "dry clean," "dry clean only," or "washable." If not colorfast, colors may "bleed," fade, or migrate to other areas of the garment, or other items in the wash load. To test for colorfastness: in an inconspicuous area apply the product and let dry thoroughly. If color loss occurs do not use the product. If no change is evident proceed with cleaning by following label directions.

Q: Does WOOLITE® contain fabric softener or bleach?
A: No, WOOLITE® does not contain fabric softener or bleach.

Q. When will the new Concentrated WOOLITE® sizes be available?
A. The new WOOLITE® sizes will be available in the Summer of 2008.

Q. Can I still use WOOLITE® to hand wash clothes?
A. Yes. WOOLITE® For All Delicates is specially design for hand-washing. WOOLITE® For All Fabrics / For All Colors / For All Darks can also be used for hand-washing.
